PALM SUNDAY 2020

Jesus rode into Jerusalem as King.

It was His abiding peace He came to bring.

The people’s shouts of Hosanna did plainly ring.

But in a few days the mood of the crowd did swing.

Jesus knew it was the cross that lay before Him.

The path ahead looked incredibly dim.

Yet about this day many have written hymns.

We can have His peace when the outlook seems grim.

There can be no big crowds anywhere this day.

The limit is fifteen our premier did say.

But somehow we can still assemble and pray.

We can still sing praises on Palm Sunday.

In these troubled times let’s turn to the Prince of Peace.

It’s only in Him all our fears find release.

In the midst of this crisis may our songs never cease.

May we look to Jesus and find inner peace.
